- Roman loves to color, but he hates having marker on his hands. He will find the most minuscule dot on his hand, and immediately request to go wash his hands. We have tried to teach him to keep coloring (even with marker on his hand), but to no avail. Roman has learned that he prefers "coloring crayons" to markers because they don't get on his hands.
- Roman seems to understand so much more than we give him credit for. The other day, we were talking about Roman becoming a big brother. He innocently asks us, "Baby sister be late?" Yes, Roman she will be late! Our due date was January 7.
- I went to pick up Roman from school on Thursday, and I found him in the front office with the assistant director. She was trying to extract a large pebble from Roman's nose with the tweezers! I'm hoping he will remember the pain of the tweezers and not put anything else in his nose!
- Roman has grown quite attached to his yellow and white polka dot giraffe blanket. He drags it around like Linus, and he sometimes brings it in the car with him. He tries to take it into the grocery store, but Mommy won't allow it!
- Favorites at 34 months: finding "something silly" in the Highlights High Five magazine, the flashlight book (On The Construction Site, by Carron Brown & Bee Johnson) from cousins William and Emma, singing and dancing to the intro song of Curious George, and playing with his dry pinto beans (yes, this is STILL a favorite!!). He loves to pour and transfer the beans into containers and pots of various shapes and sizes. MOST of the time he doesn't make huge messes with the beans.
